The Road<\/em><\/a> took the Top 6 contestants<\/a> to Little Rock, Arkansas, for another round of performances on the Sunday, November 30, episode. The remaining artists opened for Keith Urban<\/a> at The Hall, where they gave \u201cunplugged\u201d performances for the first time.<\/p>\n With Blake Shelton<\/a> away on tour, Jordan Davis<\/a> stepped in to help Urban decide who would be eliminated. The audience rated the performances throughout the night, and at the end of the show, Urban, Davis, and tour manager Gretchen Wilson<\/a> chose one singer from the bottom two to be sent home.<\/p>\n Scroll down for a recap of the night\u2019s performances and to find out who was ultimately eliminated.<\/p>\n First up was Adam Sanders, and as Urban noted, this stripped-down performance was a \u201cbit of a contrast\u201d to his usual high-energy shows. For his cover song, Adam sang Tom Petty<\/a>\u2018s \u201cWon\u2019t Back Down.\u201d His original song, which he\u2019d never performed live before, was called \u201cGet It If You Did It.\u201d<\/p>\n CBS<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Of the original song, Davis said, \u201cIt sounds like a hit,\u201d and Urban nodded in agreement. \u201cHe\u2019s such a big energy and performer. I was worried he might come out and whip everybody into a frenzy when they didn\u2019t want to be,\u201d Urban admitted.<\/p>\n Davis added, \u201cHe gave just enough where it still felt like a listening crowd, but brought energy.\u201d He also said he \u201cmight want to cut that song\u201d for himself one day.<\/p>\n Channing Wilson<\/a>\u2018s cover song performance was of \u201cI\u2019m a Ramblin\u2019 Man\u201d by Waylon Jennings<\/a>, while his original was a new one called \u201cOl\u2019 Dog.\u201d The original song was autobiographical, which Channing wrote after having a stent put in his heart when he found out his widowmaker artery was \u201c100% blocked.\u201d<\/p>\n CBS<\/p>\n<\/div>\n After the cover, Davis was all smiles and said, \u201cHe turned it into a honky tonk!\u201d Urban couldn\u2019t have agreed more and told him, \u201cHe\u2019s been killing it.\u201d Of the original, Urban pointed out, \u201cEvery song he\u2019s written is in that lane. He knows his lane really well.\u201d<\/p>\n Davis thought the performance was \u201cfun\u201d and couldn\u2019t stop smiling while watching Channing.<\/p>\n Next up, Britnee Kellogg sang \u201cBlack Velvet\u201d by Alannah Myles and a \u201cvery personal\u201d original track about her son called \u201cKing of Legoland.\u201d Before performing the latter, Britnee told the audience about her child, who is autistic, color blind, and has epilepsy.<\/p>\n CBS<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u2018That was a good choice for her,\u201d Urban said after Britnee sang her cover. The original song had the entire room enraptured as Britnee sang.<\/p>\n \u201cHer original, it\u2019s such a good spot for her vocals. Such a gorgeous capturing of that feeling she has as a mother. The audience is going to love it,\u201d Urban confirmed. Davis said, \u201cThat\u2019s a special song,\u201d and Urban pointed out that this stripped-down night was the \u201cperfect\u201d time for Britnee to sing that track.<\/p>\n For her cover, Billie Jo Jones, who\u2019s been in the bottom two twice in a row now, chose \u201cTravelin\u2019 Soldier\u201d by The Chicks<\/a>. Her original was a tune called \u201cCan\u2019t Take Keith Whitley Tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n CBS<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Urban thought Billie Jo\u2019s cover was a \u201cgood song choice\u201d for her, while Davis said he \u201creally wished [he\u2019d] thought\u201d of the hook Billie Jo sang on her original.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery club we\u2019ve done, they\u2019re rowdy, and this is so the polar opposite of everything we\u2019ve done in the rowdy clubs,\u201d Urban added.<\/p>\n After getting a pep talk from tour manager Gretchen Wilson, Cody Hibbard hit the stage with a cover of Travis Tritt<\/a>\u2018s version of \u201cIt\u2019s a Great Day to Be Alive,\u201d which was more of a \u201csingalong\u201d song than he\u2019s performed in the past. However, his set began with a \u201crookie move\u201d when he accidentally pulled his earpiece out and \u201cpanicked\u201d when he couldn\u2019t find it.<\/p>\n CBS<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Although he went on to finish the performance, he admittedly \u201cwasn\u2019t proud\u201d of it. \u201cMy heart goes out to Cody,\u201d Wilson admitted. \u201cThat was tough to see. It\u2019s going to be rough for him to come back from that.\u201d<\/p>\n Cody also had no time to \u201cthrow a pity party,\u201d as he had to sing his original, \u201cLong Ride in a Short Bed,\u201d which he wrote for his dad. With the audience all being active military and veterans, Cody was able to connect by telling his story of being in the Naval Academy.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s a great lyric on that original song,\u201d Davis said, with Urban adding, \u201cYeah, I thought so, too. His military background really connected with this audience tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n Closing out the night was Cassidy Daniels<\/a>, who\u2019s consistently been the top-rated performer throughout the competition.
