From stage performances to concerts and exhibitions, the city\u2019s cultural calendar is brimming with opportunities to experience creativity in all its forms.<\/p>\n<p>Theater lovers have plenty to look forward to. The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) City Theaters will open with &#8220;I Am Not Medea&#8221; at the Inal Ayd\u0131no\u011flu Cultural Center, followed by performances of &#8220;Yaftal\u0131 Oyun&#8221; (&#8220;Branded Coffin&#8221;), &#8220;Yoldan \u00c7\u0131kan Oyun&#8221; (&#8220;The Wayward Play&#8221;) and &#8220;Kahvalt\u0131ya Kalsana&#8221; (&#8220;Stay for Breakfast&#8221;) across multiple stages from Dec. 3-6. Productions such as &#8220;War and Peace,&#8221; &#8220;Gidion\u2019s Knot,&#8221; &#8220;Maviydi Bisikletim&#8221; (&#8220;My Bicycle Was Blue&#8221;) and &#8220;Hayat Der G\u00fcl\u00fcmserim&#8221; will also be staged at various venues throughout the city.<\/p>\n<p>Ballet enthusiasts can enjoy &#8220;Romeo and Juliet&#8221; at the Atat\u00fcrk Cultural Center (AKM) on Dec. 3 and 6, while Zorlu PSM offers an eclectic mix of performances, including &#8220;Afife,&#8221; &#8220;Autopsy,&#8221; &#8220;Don Quixote,&#8221; &#8220;Son of the Sun&#8221; and &#8220;Amadeus&#8221; over the coming days. Family-friendly productions such as &#8220;The Time Regulation Institute&#8221; and &#8220;Elf the Musical&#8221; will bring further diversity to Istanbul\u2019s stage offerings.<\/p>\n<p>Music also takes center stage this week, with concerts spanning classical, rock, pop and jazz. The Atat\u00fcrk Cultural Center will host a series of performances, including French composer Eliott Tordo on Dec. 4, the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra on Dec. 5 and symphonic renditions of M\u00fcsl\u00fcm G\u00fcrses\u2019s songs on Dec. 6 and Dec. 7. Audiences can enjoy works by Farid Farjad. Fans of international acts will have the chance to see Till Lindemann, lead singer of Rammstein, perform at \u00dclker Sports and Event Hall, while the Dutch electronic duo Weval will take the stage at 100% Studio. Istanbul\u2019s pop and rock scene is equally lively, with Emircan I\u011frek, maNga, Irem Derici, Y\u0131ld\u0131z Tilbe and Melek Mosso performing across the city, alongside concerts by B\u00fclent Orta\u00e7gil, Funda Arar, Candan Er\u00e7etin, Evgeny Grinko and Emre Altu\u011f.<\/p>\n<p>Art exhibitions offer another layer of cultural richness. Visitors can explore &#8220;G\u00f6lgeler ki G\u00fcne\u015fe Ba\u011fl\u0131&#8221; (&#8220;Shadows That Depend on the Sun&#8221;), inspired by O\u011fuz Atay\u2019s novel &#8220;The Disconnected,&#8221; which features works by 15 contemporary artists through Dec. 21 in Beyo\u011flu. Iranian artist Seyed Davoud\u2019s &#8220;Kain\u2019at&#8221; continues at H\u00fcsrev Keth\u00fcda Hamam\u0131 until Dec. 14, while G\u00fclten Akag\u00fcnd\u00fcz\u2019s interpretation of traditional Turkish marbling, &#8220;Birds of the Palace,&#8221; remains on view at the Milli Saraylar Painting Museum through Dec. 6. Istanbul Modern is currently hosting \u00d6mer Ulu\u00e7\u2019s &#8220;Beyond the Horizon&#8221; until Dec. 12, while Ali Kazma\u2019s video and photography installation &#8220;Landscapes of the Mind&#8221; remains open until Feb. 1, 2026.
