Meanwhile, since 2024, the US President has sued ABC, CBS, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Last week&#8217;s pre-trial hearing was held as <a target=\"_blank\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"Prince Harry\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/prince-harry\">Prince Harry<\/a> and six other household names are suing the publishers of the Daily Mail newspaper over alleged unlawful information gathering dating back 30 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Associated Newspapers (ANL) &#8211; which also publishes The Mail on Sunday and MailOnline &#8211; strongly denies any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>As well as Harry, other high-profile individuals taking action include <a target=\"_blank\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"Elton John\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/elton-john\">Sir Elton John<\/a>, his husband David Furnish, actresses Sadie Frost and Liz Hurley, Baroness Doreen Lawrence and politician Sir Simon Hughes.<\/p>\n<p>Comparing Harry&#8217;s legal approach to that of President Trump&#8217;s, UK-based attorney Mark Stephens told <a target=\"_blank\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/donald-trump-prince-harry-lawsuits-11121072\" rel=\"nofollow\">Newsweek<\/a>: &#8220;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/prince-harry\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\">Prince Harry<\/a> may have flirted with the courts, but <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/express.co.uk\/latest\/donald-trump\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\">Donald Trump<\/a> has moved in, redecorated and claimed squatters&#8217; rights.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If litigation were a sport, Harry&#8217;s still in the amateur league while Trump&#8217;s playing in the Premiership. He&#8217;s just more litigious. Harry&#8217;s lawsuits are a bit like a royal garden party, occasional and well-mannered with, cucumber sandwiches. Trump&#8217;s on the other hand, resemble a baker&#8217;s buffet, endless, messy, burger-ridden, and everyone leaves feeling a little worse for wear.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Spokespeople for the White House and the Duke of Sussex were contacted for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Prince Harry&#8217;s last legal battle took place in May, when he lost a challenge to overturn his security arrangements in the UK. <a target=\"_blank\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/royal\/2050256\/prince-harrys-real-motive-bombshell\">He spoke to the BBC after the decision<\/a>, explaining that he felt &#8220;let down&#8221; and described his court defeat as a &#8220;good old-fashioned establishment stitch-up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Asked whether he had asked his father to step in on the dispute over his security, Prince Harry said: &#8220;I never asked him to intervene &#8211; I asked him to step out of the way and let the experts do their jobs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The prince said his treatment during the process had &#8220;uncovered my worst fears&#8221;. He said of the decision: &#8220;I&#8217;m devastated &#8211; not so much as devastated with the loss that I am about the people behind the decision, feeling as though this is okay.
