Sunday Brunch descended into chaos as the programme faced an unexpected last-minute shake-up following a guest’s withdrawal due to illness. The popular Channel 4<\/a> programme returned to screens on Sunday (November 30) for another morning filled with cuisine, comedy and entertainment.<\/p>\n

Presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer <\/a>welcomed their usual array of celebrity guests, featuring Jason Donovan, Ross Noble, Pixie Lott<\/a>, Mutya Buena and Professor Chris Van Tulleken, reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yet within moments of the broadcast beginning, presenter Tim disclosed that the band James, renowned for chart-toppers such as ‘Sit Down’ and ‘Say Something’, had been compelled to withdraw from their scheduled performance after being struck down with influenza, with vocalist Pixie Lott agreeing to step into their slot.<\/p>\n

Addressing the audience at home, he declared: “The band James were supposed to be here this morning but sadly they’ve all gone and got the flu so we wish them a speedy recovery.” Ross interjected with the query: “All of them, every single one of them?”<\/p>\n

Tim clarified: “Well James and Tim both have the flu so they were going to come on and pre-record but we just thought you’re ill.” Directing his remarks towards the celebrity panel, Tim disclosed: “But Pixie, do not fear, Pixie Lott is stepping in to fill in for the show.” Pixie responded by saying: “Thanks for having me.”<\/p>\n

This follows American comedian and Hollywood star Nick Offerman recently leaving Simon and Tim mortified after an unexpected outburst.<\/p>\n

At the time, the 55 year old star was in the studio promoting his new book, Little Woodchucks, which aims to introduce carpentry and woodwork to a younger audience.<\/p>\n

As part of his appearance, he joined fellow celebrities KT Tunstall, Tracy-Ann Oberman and Rachel Parris as they sampled a selection of red wines and a freshly-whipped up pumpkin pie.<\/p>\n

When Tim quizzed him about his biggest fear, Nick revealed his terror of letting down his parents – whom he described as ‘the greatest citizens I’ve ever met.’ It was at this moment that he stunned the 57 year old host by uttering a four-letter expletive live on television.<\/p>\n

Discussing his rebellious nature as a youngster, Nick explained: “Naturally, as their kid, I experimented with the other direction and eventually with maturation I learned to try and be a decent person. But I’m always catching up. So when I wake up in a sweat at night, I just think ‘are my parents ashamed of me?'”<\/p>\n

When asked if he’d ever discussed this worry with his parents, Nick confessed how he’d contemplated his childhood and said sorry to his father for his teenage defiance.<\/p>\n

“I called my dad and I said ‘dad, I’m sorry for the last four or five years. I’ve been quite a real t**t.'”. Hesitating, he enquired of Tim and Simon: “Can I say that?” “You can’t!” an embarrassed Tim interrupted. “I must apologise for that, but carry on. He is American,” he added, in jest.<\/p>\n
