{"id":2183619,"date":"2025-12-02T03:02:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T03:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2183619"},"modified":"2025-12-02T03:02:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T03:02:07","slug":"home-improvement-child-actor-arrested-again-after-fiance-allegedly-tried-to-run-him-over","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/home-improvement-child-actor-arrested-again-after-fiance-allegedly-tried-to-run-him-over\/","title":{"rendered":"Home Improvement&#8217; child actor arrested again after fianc\u00e9 allegedly tried to run him over"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F2%2F2025%2F12%2FCOMP-11.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A child star who gained fame for starring in the \u201990s hit sitcom \u201cHome Improvement\u201d was <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/11\/30\/celebrity-news\/home-improvement-star-zachery-ty-bryan-girlfriend-both-jailed-as-child-actor-violates-probation\/\">arrested for the sixth time<\/a> Saturday after his fianc\u00e9 allegedly attempted to run him over with their three kids in the car.<\/p>\n<p>Zachery Ty Bryan, 44, and his fianc\u00e9 Johnnie Faye Cartwright, 32, were both cuffed by deputies with the Lane County Sheriff\u2019s Office around noon Saturday near a popular camping area in Lowell, Oregon, according to a<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LaneCountySheriffsOffice\/posts\/pfbid0LexMtAsQKvMmq8eKA9ESvdXdRtQbSHbdnxLKwFtEGyhbz1iGejLRdqzynda1hddQl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\"> press release<\/a> from authorities.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Zachery Ty Bryan, 44, and his fianc\u00e9 were arrested in Oregon on Saturday. <span class=\"credit\">Lane County Jail<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bryan, Cartwright and their three small children were driving through the area in a pickup truck when, at some point, Bryan stormed out of the vehicle and started walking down the road, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Cartwright then \u201cattempted to run over Bryan,\u201d but missed when he dove out of the way \u2014 and wound up driving their pickup into a ditch, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption> Bryan and his fianc\u00e9 Johnnie Faye Cartwright, 32, share three children.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>No one was injured, but deputies \u201cobserved signs\u201d that Cartwright and Bryan were both \u201cimpaired\u201d when questioning them, according to the office.<\/p>\n<p>Bryan was eventually arrested for violating a court order from a prior case. He is being held without bail, though he is set to be released on Wednesday, according to the Lane County Jail\u2019s inmate records.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, he pleaded guilty stemming from allegations that <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/02\/23\/zachery-ty-bryan-pleads-guilty-in-choking-case\/\">he tried to strangle Cartwright<\/a>. He later downplayed the ordeal and said it was \u201cblown out of proportion.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Bryan has been arrested six times in the last five years. <span class=\"credit\">Horry County Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As part of the plea, Bryan agreed not to contact Cartwright, though the couple has had three children since then. <\/p>\n<p>Cartwright was also arrested over the weekend spat following \u201cadditional investigation,\u201d according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>She faces charges for reckless driving, three counts of reckless endangerment and DUI. Two of the reckless endangerment counts have since been cleared, according to Lane County Jail\u2019s inmate records.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Bryan played Brad Taylor in the 90s sitcom \u201cHome Improvement.\u201d  <span class=\"credit\">\u00a9Touchstone Television\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The couple\u2019s children were placed in the care of a family member, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Bryan has had numerous run-ins with law enforcement over the last five years.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the strangulation allegation, he also <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/10\/26\/entertainment\/actor-zachery-ty-bryan-pleads-guilty-to-felony-assault-stemming-from-domestic-violence-arrest\/\">pleaded guilty to a felony assault<\/a> against an unnamed woman in October 2023.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, he was arrested twice for DUI. <\/p>\n<p>And in early 2025, he was arrested during another domestic dispute in South Carolina where he allegedly choked and punched an unnamed woman who told police that they \u201clive together and have children in common,\u201d according to a police report obtained by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/home-improvement-star-zachery-ty-bryan-arrested-for-6th-time-in-5-years-11859037\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">PEOPLE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bryan shares four children with his ex-wife Carly Matros.
