Dave Coulier<\/a>, best known for playing Joey Gladstone on \u201cFull House,\u201d<\/a> is battling cancer again.<\/p>\n Coulier revealed on Tuesday during an appearance on \u201cToday\u201d that he has been he\u2019s been diagnosed with tongue cancer. This diagnosis comes just months after he revealed he beat Stage 3 non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cTo go through chemotherapy and feel that relief of whoah, it\u2019s gone, and then to get a test that says, well now you\u2019ve got another kind of cancer \u2026 it is a shock to the system,\u201d Coulier told Craig Melvin during his Dec. appearance.<\/p>\n He explained that a couple of months ago, a PET scan showed something \u201cflared\u201d at the base of his tongue, prompting concern.<\/p>\n Though an initial biopsy was negative, the growth continued to flare and grow, leading him to consult an ear, nose, and throat oncologist. Further tests, including a CT scan, MRI, and a second biopsy, confirmed the diagnosis: early-stage P16 carcinoma, or oropharyngeal tongue cancer.<\/p>\n Doctors told Coulier that this new cancer was \u201ctotally unrelated\u201d to his non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma. \u201cI said, \u2018Are you kidding me?\u2019\u201d Coulier recounted.<\/p>\n The \u201cFuller House\u201d star is undergoing a total of 35 radiation treatments, scheduled Monday through Friday until Dec. 31. He shared a hopeful note: \u201cI get to start the new year saying, I finished radiation yesterday! It\u2019s kind of serendipitous.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Coulier admitted he is currently experiencing side effects like nausea, \u201cradiation brain,\u201d and pain on the left side of his face and tongue following the biopsy.<\/p>\n
