The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Midland is excited to announce a new, expanded initiative for the Christmas season called “Experience His Light.”\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The community is invited to participate in this season-long celebration through a series of events.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The annual Nativity Exhibit will feature more than 1,300 unique nativity scenes from around the world at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1700\u00a0West\u00a0Sugnet Road. It will be open Dec. 5-6 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
A free Christmas Concert will also be held at the church on Saturday,\u00a0Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., featuring violinist Dr. Yeagi Broadwell, Maple Woods Quartet, vocalist Indigo Connolly, Vocal Canvas, and an Interfaith Choir.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The “Experience His Light” Music Festival will run from Dec. 2 to Dec. 23 at the Midland Mall. It will feature the musical talents of local members and others from the community, creating a warm, festive, and inspiring environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Embodying the spirit of service, the special “Giving Experience” focuses on ensuring “Light Can Lift” those closest to the Midland community. This area will highlight wonderful local non-profit organizations. Visitors can learn about their missions and directly choose how to support them\u2014through monetary donations, volunteering time, or donating needed goods.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Displays will be featured at both the Midland Mall (throughout the season) and the\u00a0LDS Chapel on Sugnet (during the Nativity Exhibit).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
On Saturday, Dec. 20, Get Creative for Kids Day at the\u00a0Midland Mall from 1-4 p.m.\u00a0will include face painting, balloon animals, storytelling, and crafts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
