Sabrina Carpenter<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is speaking out after President Donald Trump<\/strong>\u2019s White House used one of her songs in an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation video.<\/p>\n \u201cThis video is evil and disgusting,\u201d Carpenter, 26, wrote via X<\/span><\/a> on Tuesday, December 2. \u201cDo not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n One day earlier, the White House posted a video<\/span><\/a> featuring images of ICE officers detaining individuals alleged to be \u201cdangerous\u201d criminals residing in the United States without proper authorization. Carpenter\u2019s song \u201cJuno\u201d played in the background of the 21-second clip.<\/p>\n \u201cHave you ever tried this one?\u201d the White House captioned the video via X, referencing Carpenter\u2019s viral moments in her life shows in which she strikes various sexual poses. \u201cBye-bye.\u201d<\/p>\n In response to Carpenter\u2019s post, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson<\/strong> defended the video and its content.<\/p>\n \u201cHere\u2019s a Short n\u2019 Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won\u2019t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists and pedophiles from our country,\u201d Jackson said in a statement to Us Weekly<\/i> on Tuesday. \u201cAnyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?\u201d<\/p>\n (According to the Cato Institute<\/span><\/a>, 93 percent of individuals detained and booked in ICE detention centers have not been convicted of a violent crime, and nearly two-thirds have no criminal conviction at all.)<\/p>\n Carpenter\u2019s post comes just days after she wrapped the United States portion of her Short n\u2019 Sweet <\/i>tour with six sold-out shows at Los Angeles\u2019 Crypto.com Arena.<\/p>\n According to the singer<\/a><\/span>, the tour raised more than $1.5 million for various organizations, including The Jed Foundation, Best Friends Animal Society and Trans Law Center. The shows also \u201chelped register tens of thousands of new voters\u201d with HeadCount.<\/p>\n She is expected to headline the Coachella Music Festival<\/span><\/a> in Indio, California, in April 2026.<\/p>\n Carpenter isn\u2019t the first celebrity to object to having their music be associated with Trump\u2019s administration\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n In October, Kenny Loggins<\/strong> made headlines <\/span>for criticizing the White House\u2019s use of his hit song \u201cDanger Zone\u201d in a video that depicted Trump flying over No Kings protestors.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is an unauthorized use of my performance of \u2018Danger Zone.\u2019 Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately,\u201d Loggins, 77, said in a statement shared with Variety<\/i><\/span><\/a> at the time. \u201cI can\u2019t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us. Too many people are trying to tear us apart, and we need to find new ways to come together.\u201d<\/p>\n In 2024, Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> also threatened<\/span><\/a> a cease and desist order to the Trump campaign after it used \u201cFreedom\u201d in a video.
