The German Federal President and Ms. B\u00fcdenbender touched down at Heathrow Airport, where the Prince and Princess of Wales received them on the King’s behalf.<\/p>\n

The distinguished guests then made their way to Windsor for the official state welcome ceremony.<\/p>\n\n

King Charles and the Queen are set to greet the President and First Lady at the Royal Dais on Datchet Road, with gun salutes marking the occasion from both Windsor’s Home Park and the Tower of London.<\/p>\n

A traditional carriage procession will transport the Federal President and Ms. B\u00fcdenbender alongside the King, Queen, and the Prince and Princess of Wales through Windsor to the Castle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Upon arrival at Windsor Castle’s Quadrangle, a Guard of Honour will present a Royal Salute whilst the regimental Band performs both the German and British national anthems.<\/p>\n

The King will accompany the Federal President as he inspects the Guard of Honour, after which they will rejoin the Queen, Ms. B\u00fcdenbender, and the Prince and Princess of Wales to observe the military Rank and March past.<\/p>\n

Members of the Royal Family will join the visiting dignitaries for lunch in the State Dining Room.<\/p>\n

The King and Queen will subsequently host the Federal President and First Lady in the Green Drawing Room, where they will view a specially curated exhibition showcasing German-related items from the Royal Collection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Later in the day, the Federal President will travel to Downing Street for discussions with the Prime Minister, followed by an engagement with British and German business leaders.<\/p>\n

Ms. B\u00fcdenbender has a separate engagement planned at the Judith Kerr Primary School in south east London, where she will meet with pupils and honour the school’s connection to the celebrated German-born British author and illustrator, best known for writing The Tiger Who Came to Tea.<\/p>\n

The day’s events will culminate in a State Banquet at Windsor Castle, hosted by His Majesty alongside the Queen and other Royal Family members in honour of the German President and Ms. B\u00fcdenbender.<\/p>\n
