He appeared in the Auckland District Court on Nov. 29, where he did not enter a plea on a charge of theft.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged loot was a limited-edition, Faberg\u00e9 egg pendant inspired by the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/13\/entertainment\/james-brolin-reveals-he-nearly-replaced-roger-moore-as-james-bond\/\">1983\u00a0James Bond\u00a0film Octopussy<\/a>. Central to the film\u2019s plot is a jewel-smuggling operation that involves a fake Faberg\u00e9 egg.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The pendant was inspired by the 1983\u00a0James Bond\u00a0film Octopussy, which was about a jewel-smuggling operation involving a fake Faberg\u00e9 egg.  <span class=\"credit\">\u00a9MGM\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The store\u2019s website says the egg, only 50 of which have been made, is crafted from gold, painted with green enamel and encrusted with 183 diamonds and two sapphires.
