LOS ANGELES \u2014 Move aside, Kevin McCallister \u2026 there\u2019s a new Christmas movie hero. Her name is Claire Clauster, played by the one and only Michelle Pfeiffer, in Prime Video’s new original holiday film \u201cOh. What. Fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the film, Clauster is the glue that holds her chaotic and lovable family together every holiday season. But after she planned a special outing for them, her loved ones make the mistake of forgetting and leaving her home alone. Fed up and feeling underappreciated, Clauster sets off on an adventure of her own as her family scrambles to find her. The chain of events leads Clauster to discover the unexpected magic of Christmas gone off-script.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s hilarious. It has an extraordinary cast,\u201d Pfeiffer told Spectrum News. \u201cIt really exemplifies the family dynamic in a beautiful and authentic way. It goes from these heartfelt scenes to ridiculous comedy, and somehow Michael Showalter makes it all work.\u201d<\/p>\n

And as much as \u201cOh. What. Fun.\u201d is a holiday comedy that celebrates every overworked host, Pfeiffer\u2019s message to all the moms and mom-figures in the world is to just let it be and let it be messy.<\/p>\n
\u201cStop working so hard,\u201d she said. \u201cYou don\u2019t need to. People are still going to enjoy themselves. They are going to get fed, and they probably will enjoy themselves more. You certainly will.\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking of moms and mom figures, Felicity Jones, who plays Pfeiffer\u2019s daughter in the film, told Spectrum News that \u201cas Channon, I have a lot to say, but as Michelle, she\u2019s the perfect mother.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve just loved watching Michelle\u2019s work over the years,\u201d Jones said. \u201cIt was a fun shoot. The whole cast was really special, very lovely. What was nice was there was a combination of \u2026 we could do a little bit of improvisation \u2026 there was a playfulness to it alongside having a really strong script and direction for the story.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOh. What. Fun.\u201d is now streaming on Prime. It stars Pfeiffer, Jones, Chlo\u00eb Grace Moretz, Danielle Brooks, Dominic Sessa, Denis Leary, Jason Schwartzman and Eva Longoria.<\/p>\n
