I have lived my whole life chasing her into bathrooms, trying to catch her throwing up. I\u2019ve been around guns, the mafia, the race track. I\u2019ve been through everything. I\u2019ve seen her beaten within an inch of her life. I have seen everything. Nothing compares to what my divorce was for 10 years. It was 10 years of my life. I lost hair. I thought I would never survive it. I didn\u2019t want to,\u201d she confessed to Cooper as she got choked up. \u201cI had to because of my daughter. I literally thought, \u2018I\u2019ll never be happy again.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frankel and the pharmaceutical executive wed in March 2010. They welcomed daughter Bryn, 15, two months later. They announced their separation in December 2012, with Frankel filing for divorce the following month.<\/p>\n<p>The split <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/03\/23\/bethenny-frankel-and-jason-hoppy-finalize-their-divorce\/\">wasn\u2019t finalized<\/a> until January 2021.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>\u201cI have seen my mother slit her wrists. \u2026 I\u2019ve been around guns, the mafia, the race track. \u2026 Nothing compares to what my divorce was for 10 years,\u201d Frankel stated. <span class=\"credit\">Call Her Daddy\/YouTube<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The Skinnygirl founder noted that her mom\u2019s lifelong struggles with bulimia and alcoholism were \u201cchild\u2019s play\u201d compared to the \u201ctrauma of someone wanting to torture you and telling you that they\u2019re going to do it.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Call Her Daddy\/YouTube<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI treated it like a marathon, and I went one mile at a time, and I checked every box,\u201d the former Bravolebrity said of the divorce process, alleging that \u201cit was fraud, it was stealing, it was hacking, it was harassment, it was abuse, it was Googling me 60 times a day, it was staying in bed and staring into my face, it was calling me every bad character in the books.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In January 2017, Hoppy <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2017\/01\/31\/bethennys-ex-husband-jason-hoppy-arrested-for-harassment-stalking\/\">was arrested and charged<\/a> with aggravated harassment in the first degree, harassment in the second degree and stalking in the fourth degree after allegedly sending Frankel a series of abusive emails and then showing up at Bryn\u2019s school to threaten his then-estranged wife, \u201cI will destroy you.\u201d (Hoppy denied the charges.)<\/p>\n<p>Frankel told Cooper that her divorce was \u201cthe worst thing [she] could ever wish upon a person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She recalled spending \u201cmillions of dollars\u201d in the split and claimed that \u201cevery single lawyer said they\u2019ve never seen anything like it, ever. Like, it was insane.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI thought I would never survive it. I didn\u2019t want to,\u201d she confessed as she got choked up. \u201cI had to because of my daughter. I literally thought, \u2018I\u2019ll never be happy again.&#8217;\u201d <span class=\"credit\">bethennyfrankel\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Frankel and the pharmaceutical executive wed in March 2010. They welcomed daughter Bryn two months later. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The businesswoman admitted that the \u201conly thing that got [her] through\u201d that time was the hope that she could one day \u201chelp people\u201d experiencing similar distress.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasized the importance of having a prenuptial agreement in place before marrying someone and \u201cgoing with your gut\u201d because \u201ccracks become craters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite her feelings of despair and defeat during her separation, Frankel made it a point to \u201cnever talk bad\u201d about Hoppy in front of Bryn, even though she believes the teen \u201cenergetically felt\u201d the situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust because you\u2019re not saying it in front of the child, it doesn\u2019t mean they don\u2019t feel,\u201d she argued, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s a long road. Your kids will become cognizant, and they will understand. You don\u2019t have to say it to them. You don\u2019t have to prove it to them.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>They announced their separation in December 2012, with Frankel filing for divorce the following month.
