Dominic McLaughlin, set to star in HBO\u2019s reimagined Harry Potter universe, is sharing the personal touch of magic that he received from the original series lead, Daniel Radcliffe.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI got a letter from the man himself, Daniel Radcliffe. It was insane,\u201d McLaughlin said, <\/span>during a recent interview<\/span><\/a> with the BBC show \u201cSaturday Mash-Up! Live.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He vividly recalled the moment: \u201cI was on the train back up to Glasgow, because we are going home \u2015 and my dad just tapped me on the train and just gave me this letter. I read it and I got to the bottom, and it said, \u2018Dan R.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The young actor said he had to \u201ckeep it cool\u201d because he thought he was \u201cgoing mad.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

McLaughlin also stated that the filming of the new series is \u201cgoing really well.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI made good friends with everyone,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s great to be there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier this month<\/a>, during an appearance on \u201cGood Morning America,\u201d Radcliffe revealed he had written to the child actor. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI wrote to Dominic,\u201d Radcliffe revealed. \u201cI sent him a letter and he sent me a very sweet note back.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He added that he hopes his legacy won\u2019t overshadow the next generation of witches and wizards. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI do not want to be, like, a specter in the lives of these children at all,\u201d he stated. \u201cI just wanted to write to him and say, \u2018I hope you have the best time and an even better time than I did.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
