Leiweke faced a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $1 million fine. He pleaded not guilty. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><span>In a statement following Trump\u2019s pardon, Leiweke said, \u201cThis has been a long and difficult journey for my wife, my daughter, and me. The President has given us a new lease on life with which we will be grateful and good stewards.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><span>This comes alongside Trump\u2019s pardon for Texas Democrat Henry Cuellar, whom the Biden Justice Department previously <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/archives\/opa\/pr\/us-congressman-henry-cuellar-and-his-wife-charged-bribery-unlawful-foreign-influence-and\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:charged;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">charged<\/a><span> with allegedly accepting roughly $600,000 in bribes from an <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/newrepublic.com\/article\/165127\/henry-cuellars-azerbaijan-scandal-american-tale-oil-addiction\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:oil and gas company owned by Azerbaijan\u2019s government;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">oil and gas company owned by Azerbaijan\u2019s government<\/a><span> and a bank headquartered in Mexico City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><span>Cuellar\u2019s and Leiweke\u2019s pardons show that Trump has no qualms about white-collar crime. He may not even see it as a legitimate crime at all. He pardoned <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/trump-newest-pardon-dark-nightmare-150014368.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Ross Ulbricht;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Ross Ulbricht<\/a><span>, the Silk Road CEO who was serving a life sentence on charges of conspiracy to distribute narcotics and money laundering. He pardoned Las Vegas city councilwoman and state lawmaker <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.police1.com\/legal\/trump-pardons-nev-politician-who-paid-for-cosmetic-surgery-with-funds-to-honor-slain-officer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Michele Fiore;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Michele Fiore<\/a><span>, who was convicted of seven counts relating to wire fraud and using government funds for her own plastic surgery. He pardoned former Culpeper County, Virginia, Sheriff <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-wdva\/pr\/former-culpeper-sheriff-sentenced-10-years-federal-bribery-charges\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Scott Jenkins;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Scott Jenkins<\/a><span>, who was convicted of taking more than $75,000 in bribes in exchange for deputy appointments. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><span>These are just a few of the shady business folk Trump has pardoned at whim.
