Lori Louglin<\/a> is set to return to the Hallmark<\/a> Channel after being fired in 2019 amid the college admissions scandal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFull House\u201d<\/a> star will reprise her role as Abigail Stanton in the \u201cWhen Calls the Heart\u201d for the show\u2019s 14th season, marking her comeback to the network.<\/p>\n

Hallmark confirmed on Tuesday that the 61-year-old actress will reprise her role as Abigail Stanton in six of the season\u2019s 12 episodes. Production is scheduled to begin in 2026, with the season set to air in 2027.<\/p>\n

Michelle Vicary, Hallmark Media\u2019s head of programming, said the timing felt appropriate for Loughlin\u2019s return. \u201cAt its core, the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity and connection, which is also the central theme of \u2018When Calls the Heart,\u2019\u201d Vicary said in a statement via USA Today<\/a>. \u201cWe felt that Season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail\u2019s story with her return to this beloved series.\u201d<\/p>\n

The network severed ties with Loughlin in 2019 after she faced charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud. Loughlin and her then-husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to paying $500,000 in bribes to secure their daughters\u2019 admission to the University of Southern California. Loughlin completed a two-month prison sentence and was released in December 2020.<\/p>\n

Since the scandal, Loughlin has gradually returned to acting. She reprised the Abigail Stanton character in 2021 on \u201cWhen Hope Calls,\u201d a \u201cWhen Calls the Heart\u201d spin-off. She also made an appearance as a fictionalized version of herself in a 2024 episode of \u201cCurb Your Enthusiasm.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loughlin confirmed in October 2025 that she and Giannulli were separating after nearly three decades of marriage. That same month, her former costar John Stamos<\/a> spoke in her defense on the \u201cGood Guys\u201d podcast, placing blame on Giannulli. \u201cShe didn\u2019t deserve to be dragged through that,\u201d Stamos said.<\/p>\n
