Thomas Markle is \u201chooked up to all kinds of machines\u201d after being rushed to the hospital in the Philippines, his son has revealed.<\/p>\n

The retired lighting director was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after suffering a medical emergency at home. <\/p>\n\n

He undertook three hours of surgery on Wednesday, but his son, Thomas Markle Jr, has revealed the state his father is now in.<\/p>\n

He revealed: \u201cI went to see Dad today. He is heavily medicated on painkillers and other drugs. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe thank everyone for their support and ask that you keep sending positive thoughts for Dad’s recovery,\u201d he told the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

Mr Markle\u2019s other daughter, Samantha, said: \u201cWe are all hoping and praying that Dad pulls through.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has a long journey of recovery ahead of him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Thomas Jr has said the family has heard nothing from the Sussex family.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI would implore Meghan and Harry to reach out to Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 81-year-old has been estranged from his Meghan Markle since her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Thomas Jr revealed on Wednesday that: \u201cI took dad to a hospital close to our home and they did various scans and the doctors said his life was in imminent danger.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey raced us by ambulance, with the sirens going, to a much bigger hospital in the centre of the city. My dad has undergone emergency surgery. I would ask everyone around the world to keep him in their thoughts.”<\/p>\n

Samantha believes the strain of the last few years had taken its toll and added to his fragility.<\/p>\n

She claimed: \u201cHe is a strong man, but he has been through so much. I am praying that he is strong enough to survive this.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
