\nPrincess of Wales<\/a> is making the final preparations for her now
\ntraditional carol service.<\/p>\n

Kate will be
\njoined by other members of the Royal Family at Westminster Abbey on
\nDecember 5 for the fifth annual Together at Christmas.<\/h2>\n

The latest version confirms the place this special event has as
\na brand new Christmas tradition for the Royal Family.<\/p>\n

Since 2021, Catherine has organised a special festive
\ncelebration at the Abbey, always with a theme built around
\ncommunity. In 2025, it is focused on the importance of love and
\ntogetherness and how even the smallest gesture can make a huge
\ndifference to others.<\/p>\n

Together at Christmas is just one of a number of new Christmas
\nevents that the Royal Family has developed in recent years. And all
\nof them have had a warmer, closer connection and taken the
\nspotlight away from royalty and on to the wider community. It\u2019s an
\nindication of how the subtle, often overlooked, shifts of royal
\nevents reflect the country around them.<\/p>\n

The Royal Family have always played a significant part in
\nChristmas traditions for the UK, with their annual celebration at
\nSandringham and the morning walk to and from church followed by the
\nmuch-beloved Christmas Message in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

This year, King Charles is poised to deliver his fourth
\nChristmas Message, following a poignant address in 2022, just
\nmonths after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n

It was Her Late Majesty who first broadcast a message on

\ncemented the Christmas Day speech as a real tradition, deftly
\nturning her yearly address into a source of comfort for those
\nwatching at home.<\/p>\n

King Charles III\u2019s own first Christmas address was widely
\npraised. But as well as keeping well established traditions, The
\nKing and his Royal Family are also adding new festivities to their
\nDecember diaries. And all are a very welcome addition to the

\nchildren supported by the Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl\u2019s

\nouting, with cookies, reindeer and a visit from Father Christmas on
\nthe agenda as they help Queen Camilla prepare for the holidays.<\/p>\n

Queen Camilla\u2019s warmness is on full display, and she has spoken
\nbefore of how her annual Christmas decorating event is the start of
\nher holidays. Her part in bringing joy to young people who really
\nneed the magic of Christmas is always a poignant reminder of the
\ntrue spirit of the season.<\/p>\n

Like Queen Camilla\u2019s annual engagement, the Princess of Wales
\nhas also started another festive celebration that is now firmly
\ncemented as part of the Royal Family\u2019s Christmas. It\u2019s the Carol

The Princess of Wales held her first Together at Christmas Carol
\nService at Westminster Abbey in 2021. Billed as a way to thank
\nthose who went above and beyond for their communities during the
\nCOVID-19 pandemic, Catherine brought together people from all over
\nthe United Kingdom for a special service that was televised on ITV
\non Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n

Ahead of that first event, Catherine said, \u201cAbove all, it\u2019s
\nabout celebrating the goodwill, the acts of kindness, love,
\nempathy, and compassion to help people come through these difficult

\ncommunity leaders throughout the United Kingdom, while the 2023
\nevent focused on the importance of supporting young people across
\nthe country. In 2024, the Princess has chosen the theme of the
\nimportance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other,
\nespecially in the most difficult times of our lives.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Catherine\u2019s Together at Christmas service is becoming a beloved
\ntradition, a way to look back at the people who are the pillars of
\ntheir communities and to celebrate all faiths and none in an
\ninclusive event. And in 2023, another new tradition started with
\nregional services being held across the UK to bring together more
\npeople.<\/p>\n

And there was more inclusivity on display at Sandringham in 2023
\nwhere Queen Camilla\u2019s own children and grandchildren joined her,
\nThe King and the Royal Family for the festive season.<\/p>\n

In 2024, the service was particularly special to Kate. She was
\nstill recovering from cancer and told some of the guests that she
\nhad had a year she never could have expected just twelve months
\nearlier.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales<\/a> comes into her
\nlatest carol service in good health and after a year which has seen
\nher move front and centre for the Royal Family.<\/p>\n

With the Royal Family celebrating their firmly established
\ntraditions on Christmas Day, Queen Camilla and the Princess of
\nWales are ensuring, with their events, that the Royal Family is
