\u201cAmerican Pickers\u201d has a large and loyal fan following, and if you don\u2019t believe it just check the numbers.<\/p>\n
And one number \u2014 27 \u2014 stick out there. <\/p>\n
That is how many seasons the beloved show has had, but it looks like that might also be where it all comes to an end. One of the show\u2019s stars, Danielle Colby, spilled the beans in an Instagram video celebrating her 50th<\/sup> birthday Thursday.<\/p>\n \u201cSomething is happening that I have to talk to you about,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n She then ran down how her birthday was going \u2014 including waking up and smoking a joint and then going to a pancake house \u2014 before getting into other life developments.<\/p>\n \u201cSimultaneously, multiple things are happening,\u201d she said.<\/b> <\/a>\u201cI\u2019m 50 years old today. We have just opened the Ecdysiast Arts Museum that I have wanted to open my entire adult life. So, finally we have that open, and I just found out that \u2018American Pickers\u2019 is done. <\/p>\n \u201cSo, I am at this epic crossroads where I\u2019ve laid out what I want to do,\u201d Colby continued. \u201cSo, I have that plan already in motion, but now is the time when I have to fully dig in and commit to this plan that I have laid out, and without the financial support of \u2018American Pickers\u2019 it\u2019s going to be a wild one. So, now I just kind of have to mentally shift and figure out how to do this. Completely DIY, and it kind of takes me right back to where I started when \u2018American Pickers\u2019 started. I was doing burlesque and everything I was doing was DIY because I wasn\u2019t getting paid by \u2018American Pickers\u2019 yet.\u201d<\/p>\n The news of \u201cAmerican Pickers\u201d coming to an end comes after the History Channel announced that show star Mike Wolfe would be getting a new show, \u201cHistory\u2019s Greatest Picks with Mike Wolfe,\u201d starting in February of 2026. <\/p>\n There is at least a little hope for \u201cAmerican Pickers\u201d fans, though. <\/p>\n A rep for the History Channel told Parade Magazine<\/b><\/a> that new episodes are not being produced right now \u201cbut we could go back into production early next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
