He added:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>I used to be in love with huge guitar swells, and I\u2019ve fallen back in love with them\u2014just in my older brain. \u2018New Wave\u2019 is a reference to feeling like, \u2018This thing is going to hit me\u2019. You\u2019re either going to get in the ocean or lay in the sand. It\u2019s not even up to you. You\u2019re not sure when it\u2019s going to happen, but it\u2019s going to happen.
