Announced Friday, the deal combines Warner\u2019s powerhouse brands \u2014 including HBO, HBO Max, DC Studios, and Warner Bros. Pictures \u2014 with Netflix\u2019s globally dominant streaming platform known for hits like \u201cStranger Things,\u201d \u201cSquid Game,\u201d and \u201cBridgerton.\u201d<\/p>\n
Netflix said the merger will expand viewing options by blending its library with Warner\u2019s extensive catalog, adding iconic titles such as The Big Bang Theory, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, The Wizard of Oz, and the entire DC Universe to its lineup.<\/p>\n
The company did not disclose what the acquisition means for HBO Max subscribers. According to Forbes, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos told investors that HBO and HBO Max will continue operating as standalone services for now.
