The entertainer revealed in October that her health problems stemmed from neglecting self-care while tending to her husband, Carl Dean, who died in March. \u201cBack when my husband Carl was very sick, that was for a long time, and then when he passed, I didn\u2019t take care of myself, so I let a lot of things go that I should\u2019ve been taking care of,\u201d Parton said.<\/p>\n
She emphasized that her condition was not serious and that she was receiving treatment at Vanderbilt Medical Center. \u201cNothing major, but I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home, closer to Vanderbilt, where I\u2019m kind of having a few treatments here and there, but I wanted you to know that I\u2019m not dying,\u201d Parton said.<\/p>\n
She added, \u201cI\u2019m not ready to die yet. I don\u2019t think God is through with me and I ain\u2019t done working. So I love you for caring and keep praying for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
