As the countdown to Christmas<\/a> is officially underway, many of us will now be falling back on some of our old festive favourites to get us in the seasonal spirits.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n However, if you\u2019re a little tired of the same old musical offerings year in, year out, we\u2019re happy to report that some big names have been hard at work to get us some new original festive tunes for 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n With that in mind, we\u2019ve rounded up some of the year\u2019s biggest new Christmas releases from some of the most popular artists in music (not to mention a few surprise figures getting involved, too).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Here are our thoughts on this year\u2019s biggest original new Christmas musical releases…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n For the last few years, Amazon Music\u2019s exclusive festive tracks have spelled out chart success for artists including Ellie Goulding<\/a>, Tom Grennan<\/a> and Sam Ryder<\/a>, and this year, it\u2019s Kylie Minogue<\/a> who\u2019s done a deal with the music platform.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Released to coincide with the 10-years anniversary of her hit-and-miss seasonal album (titled simply Christmas), Kylie\u2019s new release for 2025 is an original song called XMAS, which you can look forward to coming out of any Alexa you\u2019re in the vicinity of between now and New Year\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n On one hand, XMAS is a nice enough \u2013 though still pretty naff \u2013 festive ditty that will no doubt particularly appeal to little ones (which, if nothing else, is great news for anyone keen to introduce Kylie\u2019s back catalogue to any younger family members you\u2019re spending the Christmas period with), leaning into trends laid out in recent hits for acts like Bruno Mars<\/a> and Chappell Roan<\/a>, complete with its own TikTok dance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n At the same time, though, it\u2019s tough to reckon this Kylie \u2013 who has arguably never pandered this hard in pursuit of a chart hit \u2013 with the woman riding a wave of credibility and a sudden chart resurgence just two years ago off the back of Padam Padam, a song people loved and which left the biggest cultural footprint in decades for the Australian star precisely because it didn\u2019t <\/em>sound like it was put together in a board meeting…<\/p>\n<\/div>\nKylie Minogue \u2013 XMAS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n
