VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN<\/a>) \u2014<\/strong> Tommy\u2019s BBQ offered more than deliciously smoked meats and scrumptious desserts for dinner Thursday, Dec. 4. In partnership with The Detectives, a dinner theater group based out of Jackson, Miss., patrons of the event were able to enjoy dinner and an entertaining Christmas show. Guests were provided with note books to track clues and solve the mystery during the interactive role playing saga.<\/p>\n

As far food, Tommy\u2019s provided salads, smoked wings, Texas style meat and cheese stuffed jalape\u00f1os, stuffed mushrooms, and gumbo, but that was just the appetizers. <\/p>\n

Prior to dinner being served, during the appetizer potion of the meal, guests were entertained by the musical talents of Julie Crouse. She performed an array of Christmas tunes including selections from Elvis and the comical Christmas caper \u201cHow the Grinch Stole Christmas.\u201d Crouse\u2019s sultry voice with the back drop of twinkling Christmas lights set the ambiance for the evening.<\/p>\n

Guests were also welcome to a dinner consisting of smoked brisket, turkey, salmon, mashed potatoes gravy, street corn, rice and greens. Brownies and various cookies were also available to those who had room left for a sweet treat. This was the first event of its kind to be held at Tommy\u2019s, but the showing still sold out 46 tickets. <\/p>\n

Restaurant founder Tommy Hughes said he hopes to bring more of theses showings to Vicksburg in the future. <\/p>\n

\u201cI had so much fun, laughing and watching guests laughing. The actors did a great job, and I hope they will allow us to do this again in the future,\u201d said Hughes. \u201cThe barbecue team absolutely nailed it. I am so blessed.\u201d<\/p>\n

One guest and attendee of the event said, \u201cWhat an absolute blast that was! Thanks for bringing it to Vicksburg.\u201d<\/p>\n
