He told The Mail on Sunday that he wants to say to his daughter: \u201cI don’t want to die estranged.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also wants to see her at least \u201cone more time\u201d before his death, and told The Mail On Sunday that he wants to meet his grandchildren Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, before it is too late.<\/p>\n

Thomas also said that he has not received a message from the duchess, despite the fact he has always kept his phone number the same in case she wants to reach out to him.<\/p>\n

A hospital source, speaking with the permission of Mr Markle, also told the newspaper that Meghan has not contacted anyone at the hospital to find out about her father\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The source told The Mail on Sunday:<\/a> \u201c’Mr Markle is a VIP patient. Of course we all know who he is. If Meghan or anyone connected with her had called here we would have known. It is a big hospital by Filipino standards but we all know each other and we all talk.<\/p>\n

It is believed that while Meghan\u2019s dad is \u201cdoing well\u201d, he is not yet out of danger and needed the amputation as a \u201cmassive blood clot\u201d in his thigh had stopped circulation to his foot and lower leg.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
