The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) has officially announced an expression of interest (EOI) for developing the country\u2019s first multi-purpose indoor live entertainment arena, promising a world-class venue for concerts, international sporting events, cultural festivals, and immersive experiences.<\/p>\n<p>The arena, inspired by global landmarks such as New York\u2019s Madison Square Garden and London\u2019s O\u2082 Arena, will feature 20,000 seats and a standing capacity of 25,000, making it India\u2019s largest indoor arena of its kind.<\/p>\n<p><ev-engagement group-name=\"contentLogin\"\/><ev-engagement group-name=\"myNotification\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"ev-meter-content ie-premium-content-block\"><\/p>\n<p>The EOI document will be available online from December 9, with submissions closing on December 30, at 5 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Vijay Singhal, vice chairman and MD of CIDCO, said, \u201cBy initiating this project, we are not just building a venue; we are laying the foundation for a cultural and economic movement that will put Navi <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noamphtml\" class=\"keywordtourl\" href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/section\/cities\/mumbai\/\">Mumbai<\/a> on the global entertainment map.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Strategically located, Navi Mumbai\u2019s connectivity is being enhanced with Atal Setu Trans-Harbour Link, high-speed rail corridors, the upcoming Metro, and Navi Mumbai International Airport.
