BPM of 130 or higher during intense cycling helped participants exercise 10.7% longer with higher heart rates.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing on this and other research, MyBodyTutor analyzed Spotify\u2019s 500 most <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/12\/21\/entertainment\/spotifys-top-10-most-streamed-holiday-tracks-of-all-time-revealed\/\">popular holiday songs<\/a> and identified the top 10 Christmas tracks in the 120 to 150 BPM range, considered the optimal \u201csweet spot\u201d for moderate- to high-intensity workouts such as cardio, running and strength training. <\/p>\n<p>Topping the list as the best overall holiday workout song was Mariah Carey\u2019s iconic \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You\u201d at 150 BPM, cementing her status as the \u201cQueen of Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Mariah Carey\u2019s \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You\u201d is Navidad<\/a>,\u201d Frank Sinatra\u2019s \u201cJingle Bells\u201d and Brenda Lee\u2019s \u201cRockin\u2019 Around the Christmas Tree\u201d followed closely at 149, 148 and 146 BPM, respectively. <\/p>\n<p>Michael Bubl\u00e9\u2019s jazzy version of \u201cJingle Bells\u201d came in fifth, while August Burns Red\u2019s \u201cChristmas Time Is Here\u201d ranked sixth at 143 BPM.<\/p>\n<p>Nat King Cole\u2019s \u201cThe Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)\u201d hit seventh at 141 BPM, followed by Bruce Springsteen\u2019s \u201cSanta Claus Is Comin\u2019 to Town\u201d and Bing Crosby\u2019s \u201cWhite Christmas\u201d at 141 and 138 BPM, respectively. <\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the top 10 was Justin Bieber\u2019s \u201cMistletoe\u201d at 128 BPM.  <\/p>\n<p>While these were the best overall Christmas songs for working out, MyBodyTutor went a step further and ranked tracks by exercise type.<\/p>\n<p>For those aiming for a more intense session, Ariana Grande\u2019s \u201cLast Christmas\u201d and Shakin\u2019 Stevens\u2019s \u201cMerry Christmas Everyone\u201d lead the list for high-intensity interval training, clocking in at 206 and 203 BPM, respectively.<\/p>\n<figure found that slow holiday ballads are the way to go. <\/p>\n<p>Leading this category is Kelly Clarkson\u2019s \u201cUnderneath the Tree\u201d at 95 BPM, followed by Nat King Cole\u2019s \u201cThe Christmas Song\u201d at 88 BPM.<\/p>\n<p>Pentatonix\u2019s \u201cO Holy Night\u201d and \u201cThe First Noel\u201d came in third and fourth at 85 and 84 BPM, and Sinatra\u2019s \u201cHave Yourself a Merry Little Christmas\u201d rounded out the list at 76 BPM.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring a season when motivation is already stretched thin, anything that makes healthy habits easier is worth using,\u201d
