\u201cSaturday Night Live<\/a>\u201d breakout Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a> has set his first-ever stand-up comedy special at Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The hour, titled \u201cAmerican Boy,\u201d will stream on Jan. 7. Filmed in front of a hometown crowd in Miami, the special sees Hern\u00e1ndez musing on his experiences growing up as a first-generation American.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmerican Boy\u201d is directed by Nicholaus Goossen<\/a> and executive produced by Hern\u00e1ndez and Matthew Vaughan<\/a>. It\u2019s produced by Rotten Science<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hern\u00e1ndez, now 28, joined \u201cSNL<\/a>\u201d in 2022 and quickly became one of the NBC<\/a> sketch series\u2019 rising stars. He\u2019s perhaps best known for playing Domingo<\/a> in the oft-repeated musical sketches about a bride-to-be\u2019s forbidden love affair. He also recently impersonated Sebastian Maniscalco<\/a>, earning props from the comedian himself, and he often plays characters nodding to his Cuban and Dominican heritage.<\/p>\n
