A small-town Manitoba theatre got a surprise over the weekend when a trio of Hollywood actors stopped by to catch a movie.<\/p>\n
Jon Hamm, Johnny Pemberton and Paul Walter Hauser were at The Flicks Cinema in Stonewall, Man., on Sunday night to catch a showing of \u201cThe Running Man.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI was fangirling a little bit when they walked in,\u201d said Griffin Levenec, one of the co-owners of The Flicks Cinema.<\/p>\n
Levenec was working with two others at the theatre when the celebrities came in.<\/p>\n
At first, he was unsure if it was really the three actors but got confirmation when he saw the trio taking pictures with other theatre patrons.<\/p>\n
Levenec said the actors were happy to talk with everyone and expressed their appreciation for small-town movie theatres.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it was cool, they were actually a lot more interested in asking me about the theatre and stuff and less so in answering questions we had for them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey were a lot more interested in what we had to say than saying anything themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n
Levenec said he hopes the actors\u2019 visit inspires others to get out to movie theatres.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt kind of sucks that in the last few years, with everything that\u2019s gone on since 2019-2020, that movie theatres have just not been doing so hot lately,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo it\u2019s awesome to see [the actors come in]. Hopefully we can get more people coming back into these things, because I know these things are special for a lot of people.\u201d<\/p>\n
CTV News previously reported that Hamm is in Manitoba to film the television series \u201cAmerican Hostages.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
