Nominations for the 83rd Golden Globes are in.<\/p>\n

Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s \u201cOne Battle After Another\u201d is the most nominated movie of the year with nine nods, followed by \u201cSentimental Value\u201d with eight and \u201cSinners\u201d with seven. \u201cThe White Lotus\u201d<\/a> topped the television category with six nominations, while \u201cAdolescence\u201d scored five and \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d and \u201cSeverance\u201d each received four. <\/p>\n

The winners will be revealed during the live awards ceremony, which is set to air on CBS on Jan. 11, 2026. It\u2019s an honor just to be nominated, but some stars, TV shows, and movies, were noticeably left out this year.<\/p>\n

The \u201cStar Wars\u201d series received 14 Emmy nominations this year, so the Globes\u2019 indifference to it is puzzling. \u201cAndor\u201d received just one Golden Globe nomination for Diego Luna\u2019s acting, and it is conspicuously missing from the Best Television Series \u2013 Drama category.<\/p>\n

The 2025 nominees for Best Television Series \u2013 Drama are \u201cThe Diplomat,\u201d \u201cThe Pitt,\u201d<\/a> \u201cPluribus,\u201d \u201cSeverance,\u201d \u201cSlow Horses\u201d and \u201cThe White Lotus.\u201d<\/p>\n

The season 2 premiere of \u201cLandman\u201d was the most-watched original series premiere in Paramount+ history, but the show has yet to make much of a splash on the awards circuit. Thornton earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Tommy Norris last year, but he was left out of the Best Actor category this time around. <\/p>\n

While Thornton was snubbed, the 2025 nominees for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series \u2013 Drama are Sterling K. Brown (\u201cParadise\u201d<\/a>), Diego Luna (\u201cAndor\u201d), Gary Oldman (\u201cSlow Horses\u201d), Mark Ruffalo (\u201cTask\u201d), Adam Scott (\u201cSeverance\u201d) and Noah Wyle (\u201cThe Pitt\u201d).<\/p>\n

The sports comedy drama recieved three nominations, including an acting nod for Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet (Marty Mauser). Despite receiving praise for her portrayal of retired actress Kay Stone, Paltrow was left out of the Best Actress category. <\/p>\n

The 2025 nominees for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture \u2013 Drama are: Jessie Buckley (\u201cHamnet\u201d), Jennifer Lawrence (\u201cDie My Love\u201d), Renate Reinsve (\u201cSentimental Value\u201d), Julia Roberts (\u201cAfter the Hunt\u201d), Tessa Thompson (\u201cHedda\u201d) and Eva Victor (\u201cSorry, Baby\u201d). <\/p>\n

\u201cWicked: For Good\u201d earned five nominations, including Cinematic and Box Office Achievement and acting nods for Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba Thropp) and Ariana Grande (Glinda), but director Jon M. Chu was snubbed. He was previously left out of the Best Director category for the first \u201cWicked\u201d film, which hit theaters in 2024. <\/p>\n

\u201cWicked: For Good\u201d was also left out of the Best Motion Picture \u2013 Musical or Comedy category. In fact, \u201cChristy\u201d didn\u2019t receive any recognition from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. <\/p>\n
