Martha Stewart<\/a> is someone who knows what she wants \u2015 and doesn\u2019t want \u2015 even in the afterlife.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThese coffin things and all that stuff? No way,\u201d Stewart, 84, said when she was asked about her funeral plans during an appearance on the QVC podcast \u201c50+ & Unfiltered\u201d<\/a> last week. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to be composted,\u201d the lifestyle icon said before naming the exact spot where she wants to be put out to pasture. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhen one of my horses dies, we dig a giant hole \u2015 really deep \u2015 in one of my fields. We have a pet cemetery, and the horse is wrapped in a clean white linen sheet and very carefully dropped down into this giant, lovely grave. I want to go there.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When host Shawn Killinger asked if Stewart was legally allowed to be buried there, she paid the question no mind. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know. Why not?\u201d Stewart responded. \u201cIt\u2019s not going to hurt anyone. It\u2019s my property.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Many commenters loved Stewart\u2019s delivery \u2015 and her decision. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cBuried, Martha might generate power \ud83d\ude02,\u201d one commenter wrote, while another added, \u201cI love her life philosophy. She considers everything, even death, down to the very last detail.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another joked, \u201c\u2018Is that legal\u2019 she\u2019s a felon she does not care.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The brand Miracle-Gro even waded into the conversation, writing, \u201cShe really said being composted isn\u2019t going to hurt anybody… PERIOD we\u2019re going to do the same thing\ud83c\udf31\ud83c\udf31.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During the wide-ranging interview, Stewart was also asked about any near-death experiences she\u2019s had. While the businesswoman couldn\u2019t think of any, the podcast host kindly pointed out she\u2019d been struck by lightning three times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cOh! That wasn\u2019t fatal<\/em>,\u201d Stewart said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

She\u2019s spoken about the lightning strikes before, once telling Ellen DeGeneres that it\u2019s \u201ccrazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI think it actually is good for you,\u201d Stewart said during an appearance on DeGeneres\u2019 show back in 2022<\/a>. \u201cIf it doesn\u2019t kill you, I think it\u2019s good for you!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
