Whoopi Goldberg<\/strong><\/a> is a great-grandmother again!<\/p>\n During the Monday (December 8) episode of The View<\/em>, the 70-year-old EGOT winner announced that she welcomed her second great-grandchild overt the weekend.<\/p>\n Whoopi<\/strong> shared that her grandson Mason Dean<\/strong> and his girlfriend welcomed a baby girl named Lotus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cI\u2019m going to start out today because I have some fun news from over the weekend. My family welcomed Lotus Dean to the world. She\u2019s 6lbs., 3oz.,\u201d Whoopi<\/strong> said as images of the newborn appeared on-screen.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s Lotus and Ruby [the dog],\u201d she continued. \u201cShe is, that\u2019s her dad \u2014 my grandson, Mason.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe looks in love,\u201d co-host Sunny Hostin<\/strong><\/a> said as Whoopi<\/strong> jokingly responded, \u201cYeah, that\u2019ll change.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a wonderful thing,\u201d the Sister Act <\/em>actress then added. \u201cIt\u2019s a wonderful thing. This is my second.\u201d<\/p>\n Mason<\/strong>, 27, is the son of Whoopi<\/strong>\u2018s only child, daughter Alex Martin<\/strong>, whom the Ghost<\/em> actress shares with first husband Alvin Martin<\/strong>. Along with Mason<\/strong>, Alex<\/strong>, 51, also has two daughters \u2013 Amara<\/strong>, 36, and Jersey<\/strong>, 29 \u2013 with husband Bernard Dean<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Co-host Ana Navarro<\/strong><\/a> then congratulated Alex<\/strong> for becoming a grandma again.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd congratulations to Alex, who is a grandmother again,\u201d Ana<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think about that, I simply think about myself,\u201d Whoopi<\/strong> added. \u201cCause I never thought I\u2019d have two great-grandkids. To be there for that.\u201d <\/p>\n Whoopi<\/strong> first became a great-grandmother in 2014 when her granddaughter Amara<\/strong> welcomed a daughter named Charli Rose<\/strong>.<\/p>\n When asked by her co-hosts what the grandkids call her, Whoopi <\/strong>answered, \u201cThey call me Whoopi \u2014 cause I\u2019m not the grandma! I\u2019m the great grandma! So just Whoopi.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cShe couldn\u2019t say her Ws, so I was \u2018Oopi\u2019 for the longest time. So we\u2019ll see.
