<\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/picture>\n<\/p><\/div> Members of the Royals posed for a group photo after they defeated the New York Mets 7-2 to win the World Series on November 1, 2015, at Citi Field in New York.<\/p>\n The Kansas City Star<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n <\/p>\n Alex Gordon last summer became the first player from the Royals\u2019 2015 World Series championship team to be inducted into the club\u2019s Hall of Fame<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Six of Gordon\u2019s teammates are eligible to be voted into the Royals Hall of Fame this year, including three first-timers: center fielder Lorenzo Cain, shortstop Alcides Escobar and relief pitcher Greg Holland.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n They are joined on the ballot by Kelvin Herrera and Wade Davis, who were standout relievers for that championship team, and the late Yordano Ventura, who was a starting pitcher. They had previously been on the ballot. And former manager Ned Yost is already a member of the Royals Hall of Fame<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Others on the ballot are Billy Butler, who was on the 2014 American League championship team, outfielder Carlos Beltran and pitcher Joakim Soria.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fans can vote for who should make the Royals Hall of Fame as part of the process. Others who will decide on induction include living Royals Hall of Famers, people on the Royals Hall of Fame Executive Board, a few members of the Baseball Writers Association of America and other Kansas City media representatives along with current Royals front office staff who have been on the job for at least 15 years.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The fan ballot will account for three full votes for each of the top-5 vote getters, the Royals said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Candidates need to receive 75% of the vote for election.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fans can cast a ballot at mlb.com\/royals\/hall-of-fame\/vote<\/a> until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 22.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
