Following her reported method of reaching out, The Times<\/a> have now reported that Meghan plans on sending a handwritten note in hopes of getting in touch with her dad.<\/p>\n

A source close to Meghan told the publication: “There\u2019s been progress, but she hasn\u2019t made contact [yet]\u2026 It\u2019s hoped and expected.”<\/p>\n

PEOPLE previously reported that it’s understood the mum-of-two had personally called several hospitals in an effort to locate her father, but was having difficulty confirming where he was being treated.<\/p>\n

It has previously been reported that Meghan does not have a working phone number for her father, who has never met Prince Harry or his grandchildren, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dr Neil Sanico, who performed Mr Markle’s surgery last week, has spoken out recently and confirmed that the operation went well.<\/p>\n

Dr Sanico said: “The surgery was a success, and the wound is healing well.”<\/p>\n

He told The Mail<\/a>: “Mr Markle is making good progress. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but moving out of the ICU and into a regular room is a positive step.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
