Writer Carmen Maria Machado will appear as this year\u2019s Katie Jacobson Writer in Residence for an evening of readings and discussion.<\/p>\n<p>The Industry\u2019s LAB series will return with new opera projects by Guillermo E. Brown, Carmina Escobar, and Matana Roberts developed in partnership with REDCAT. Later in the season, Wild Up will offer two music programs\u2014<em>The Odes<\/em>, exploring experimental lineage across eras, and <em>The Interior Castle<\/em>, centered on works by visionary women composers including Emahoy Tsegue Maryam Guebrou.<\/p>\n<p>Artist and writer Harmony Holiday\u2019s newly commissioned exhibition <em>Spectacular Brooding<\/em> will be on view throughout the spring, investigating grief, performance, and the space she terms the \u201cBlack Backstage.\u201d Additional programming includes the Los Angeles premiere of Gibson + Recoder\u2019s multi-projection installation <em>The Changeover System: A Projection Performance Installation<\/em> and a performance of George Friedrich Haas\u2019 <em>Third String Quartet<\/em> by JACK Quartet.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- End Ezoic - Article Insertion 1 - under_page_title --><\/p>\n<p>Dance artists Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener will premiere <em>Open Machine<\/em>, a choreography-driven exploration of AI using live transcription, projected imagery, and virtual renderings that interact with the performers.
