The Lincoln Lawyer<\/em><\/a> ended its third season with a major<\/em> cliffhanger, one that leaves its main character, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo<\/a>), in a very precarious position. The good news? We\u2019ll be seeing what comes next very soon, as Netflix announced the Season 4 premiere date on Wednesday, December 10.<\/p>\n The Lincoln Lawyer<\/em> Season 4 will premiere on Thursday, February 5, 2026. New photos have also been released, including one of Constance Zimmer<\/a>. See them above and below.<\/p>\n The series, based on Michael Connelly<\/a>\u2018s novels, premiered on Netflix in 2022, following Mickey; he doesn\u2019t exactly run his practice out of the back of his town car (he has an office), though his vehicle is an important aspect of his life. But in Season 4, he\u2019s the one who\u2019s going to need legal representation, and there are several new characters joining with links to that as well as other parts of what\u2019s to come. So, what we do we know about the drama\u2019s future? Read on.<\/p>\n The Lincoln Lawyer<\/em> Season 4 will premiere on Thursday, February 5, 2026.<\/p>\n The show left off on a major cliffhanger! Mickey, just as he was planning to head off on vacation, was pulled over by a cop for a missing license plate. The officer then, during the stop, found the body of one of his clients, Sam Scales (Christopher Thornton), in his trunk!<\/p>\n Yes, you\u2019re right to think Season 4 will adapt Michael Connelly\u2019s The Law of Innocence<\/em>. That was confirmed in Netflix\u2019s renewal and with the way Season 3 ended.<\/p>\n The synopsis of that book<\/a> reads as follows: \u201cDefense attorney Mickey Haller is pulled over by police, who find the body of a client in the trunk of his Lincoln. Haller is charged with murder and can\u2019t make the exorbitant $5 million bail slapped on him by a vindictive judge. Mickey elects to defend himself and must strategize and build his defense from his jail cell in the Twin Towers Correctional Center in downtown Los Angeles, all the while looking over his shoulder\u2013as an officer of the court he is an instant target. Mickey knows he\u2019s been framed. Now, with the help of his trusted team, including Harry Bosch, he has to figure out who has plotted to destroy his life and why. Then he has to go before a judge and jury and prove his innocence.\u201d<\/p>\n Right now, the answer is no to seeing the half-brothers together; that character (played by Titus Welliver<\/a>) belongs to another streaming service (Prime Video), which makes a crossover pretty close to impossible<\/a>. But the show has made changes from the books\u2014characters like Izzy (Jazz Raycole<\/a>)\u2014and can easily do so again.<\/p>\n \u201cJust like what we did in Season 3 with the character of Neil Bishop, who is, as you point out, Lankford in the books, Michael has given us in his books, and we have then expanded in the show this panoply of characters and situations for Mickey and it gives us a lot of different wells to draw from,\u201d co-showrunner Ted Humphrey<\/a> told TV Insider<\/a>. \u201cAnd they do this, I\u2019ve noticed, in Bosch<\/em>\u00a0as well\u2014there are so many Bosch books. We only have, I think there\u2019s seven now\u00a0Lincoln Lawyer<\/em>\u00a0books, but there are, I don\u2019t know, 20 something\u00a0Bosch<\/em> books. And so they have so many books to work with that they\u2019ve had seasons where they\u2019ve combined two and even three different books into one season and they\u2019ve mixed characters around and Mickey Haller and those books has become somebody else. So there are always ways to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n Should they ever be able to introduce the character of Bosch into the show, the co-showrunner went on to note, \u201cwe\u2019d have to somehow backfill the relationship between the two of them.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the official description, \u201d Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) faces his toughest case yet as he and his team work tirelessly to prove his innocence in the murder of a former client, Sam Scales. To clear his name, they must unravel Sam\u2019s final scam, forcing them to go head-to-head with the DA\u2019s office, the FBI, and ghosts from Mickey\u2019s own past.\u201d<\/p>\n Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton<\/a> (Lorna), Angus Sampson<\/a> (Cisco), and Raycole are all confirmed to return. Furthermore, Neve Campbell<\/a> (Mickey\u2019s first ex-wife, Maggie) is confirmed to return for all episodes of the new season. Also back are Krista Warner as Mickey and Maggie\u2019s daughter, Hayley, Elliott Gould<\/a> as David \u201cLegal\u201d Siegel, and Lana Parrilla<\/a> as Lisa (from Season 2<\/a>).<\/p>\n It\u2019s probably a safe bet to assume that Thornton will play Sam Scales in some capacity for flashbacks.<\/p>\n Joining the cast for Season 4 is Constance Zimmer, according to Deadline<\/a>. She\u2019ll be playing the prosecutor, Dana Berg, with whom Mickey faces off as he defense himself. She also has a connection to Maggie, as the two worked together in the Los Angeles DA\u2019s office. \u201cDana is a relentless prosecutor who will let nothing stand in the way of a guilty verdict, a single-mindedness which has earned her the nickname \u2018Death Row Dana,’\u201d according to her character\u2019s description. \u201cA fierce and ruthless adversary who bends the rules to her advantage, she is the last person Mickey wants to find himself going up against in what will be the trial of his life.\u201d<\/p>\n Courtesy of Netflix<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Also new for Season 4 is Sasha Alexander<\/a>, recurring as FBI Agent Dawn Ruth, Variety<\/a> reports. Dawn is described as \u201cno nonsense\u201d and \u201cintimidating.\u201d Further details tease an upcoming interaction between Dawn and Mickey: \u201cShe and her colleague interrupt Mickey\u2019s dinner to not-so-subtly threaten him to drop his investigation into the FBI, or else\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Emmanuelle Chriqui<\/a>, Jason O\u2019Mara<\/a>, Nancy Silverton<\/a>, and Javon Johnson<\/a> will guest star in Season 4, Deadline<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n Chriqui\u2019s Jeanine Ferrigno is described as \u201cGoodfellas<\/em> by way of Glendale\u201d and \u201cthe girlfriend of a local gangster who finds herself mixed up in a criminal enterprise, giving her information pivotal to Mickey\u2019s defense.\u201d O\u2019Mara\u2019s playing Maggie\u2019s boyfriend, orthopedic surgeon Jack Gilroy. He\u2019s \u201cfit, tan and comfortable in his own skin.\u201d His specialty is sports medicine and he works with established and up-and-coming athletes in Southern California.<\/p>\n World-renowned chef, restaurateur, and owner of Osteria Mozza Silverton is making a cameo as herself. And Johnson\u2019s Carter Gates is \u201ca decent, hardworking business owner who\u2019d turned his life around after legal troubles in his youth and now finds himself accused of murder.\u201d<\/p>\n Additional cast members include\u00a0Marcus Henderson, Gigi Zumbado, Scott Lawrence, Cobie Smulders, Kacey Montoya, Jason Butler Harner, and Kyle Richards.<\/p>\n The producers left Mickey in the position they did because it\u2019s how they top a season they were proud of.<\/p>\n And so we just thought, \u2018What could top this?\u2019 Well, what tops it is obviously Mickey is now the client, the jeopardy that his clients have been in up until now, now he\u2019s in, and it\u2019s truly the toughest case of all,\u201d explained Humphrey to TV Insider. \u201cAnd if you think back over the course of three seasons, what is the mantra that his father taught him and that Legal Siegel [Elliott Gould<\/a>] has reminded him of?
