Here\u2019s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>PELICAN \u2013 \u201cCASCADING CRESCENT\u201d (ft. GEOFF RICKLY)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Previously released as a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.brooklynvegan.com\/pelican-announce-new-lp-on-run-for-cover-tap-geoff-rickly-for-vinyl-only-single\/\">vinyl-only single<\/a>, Pelican have now digitally-released and made a music video for the vocal version of their song \u201cCascading Crescent\u201d from this year\u2019s <i>Flickering Resonance,<\/i> with Thursday\u2019s Geoff Rickly on guest lead vocals. The song is a totally different beast than the instrumental version, and Geoff\u2019s vocals sound so natural with the song that you might be surprised it <i>wasn\u2019t<\/i> originally written with the intention of having a singer on it. The video features live footage of Geoff singing with Pelican, and the song will be included on the upcoming <i>Ascending<\/i> EP, which features the <i>Flickering Resonance<\/i> B-side \u201cAscending\u201d and two 2024 digital-only tracks, \u201cAdrift\u201d and \u201cTending the Embers.\u201d That comes out January 23 via Run For Cover.<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube responsive-container\"><noscript><\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pelican - Cascading Crescent (Feat. She says, \u201cI think the album in general has a tense and at times rather dark energy, and \u2018Ant\u00eddoto,\u2019 bang in the middle of the album, acts as the positive counterweight and joyful centerpiece. It is the sun-drenched, edgy reply to moments when you feel anger, it is my musical way of saying I can turn the situation upside down and build my own antidote to the negative feelings consuming me.
