{"id":2194559,"date":"2025-12-11T07:35:15","date_gmt":"2025-12-11T07:35:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2194559"},"modified":"2025-12-11T07:35:15","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T07:35:15","slug":"king-charles-sends-christmas-wishes-to-persecuted-christians-at-special-advent-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/king-charles-sends-christmas-wishes-to-persecuted-christians-at-special-advent-service\/","title":{"rendered":"King Charles sends Christmas wishes to persecuted Christians at special Advent service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>King Charles has attended a very special advent service at<br \/>\nWestminster Abbey, remembering all those who are persecuted for<br \/>\npractising their faith.<\/p>\n<p>The King also provided a message for the Order of Service, in<br \/>\nwhich he wrote of his <em>\u201cgreat joy to gather with you in the most<br \/>\nglorious setting of Westminster Abbey as we celebrate the light,<br \/>\nhope, and above all, the peace of this season of Advent.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Representatives from many faith groups joined the King and other<br \/>\nreligious leaders for the service, which was led by the Dean of<br \/>\nWestminster, the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle.<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">King Charles\u2019s message continued:<br \/>\n<em>\u201cToday, we gather for prayer, reflection and music, and to<br \/>\ncelebrate the Good News in which all Christians rejoice: those<br \/>\naround us, and those in areas where it is not easy to live out<br \/>\none\u2019s faith.\u201d<\/em><\/h5>\n<p>The King\u2019s message concluded with a personal wish for the<br \/>\nholiday season: <em>\u201cMay I wish you and your families every<br \/>\nblessing of peace, joy and love in this holy season.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster-abbey.org\/abbey-news\/the-king-attends-service-to-celebrate-christian-witness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Westminster Abbey service<\/a><br \/>\nwas just one of many ways that the Royal Family is preparing for<br \/>\nthe holiday season.<\/p>\n<p>The Princess of Wales hosted her own <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/royalcentral.co.uk\/royal-news\/princess-of-wales-15-215626\/\"><br \/>\n\u2018Together at Christmas\u2019<\/a> carol service at the Abbey last week.<br \/>\nThe service was filmed for broadcast on Christmas Eve with a repeat<br \/>\non Christmas morning.<\/p>\n<p>Queen Camilla will host children at Clarence House on 11<br \/>\nDecember to decorate the Christmas tree there.
