Taylor Swift says she isn\u2019t fazed by the critics who wish she would disappear from the limelight. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Appearing on Wednesday\u2019s episode of \u201c<\/span>The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/span><\/a>,\u201d the pop star shared a message for the people who hope that she will \u201cjust go away.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The topic came up after Swift told Colbert that the thing she \u201clooks up to [the] most in people is career longevity.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cFriendship longevity, longevity in their relationships, how do you keep a good thing going?\u201d she continued. \u201cI think there are certain corners of our society that really love that and look up to longevity.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The \u201cBad Blood\u201d singer then noted that it\u2019s not a universal sentiment.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThere are also corners that are like, \u2018Give someone else a turn. Can\u2019t you just go away so we can talk about how good you were?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, I don\u2019t want to, you know?\u201d she declared, to cheers. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Swift\u2019s critics complain that she is \u201c<\/span>overexposed\u201d<\/span><\/a> amid the media\u2019s persistent coverage of her. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The 14-time Grammy-winning artist caused a media frenzy following her first appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game in late September 2023, where she cheered for her now-fianc\u00e9, Travis Kelce. Her presence significantly boosted the NFL\u2019s viewership<\/a> when her fans started tuning in, leading to record-breaking ratings<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Elsewhere in her interview with Colbert, Swift gushed about Kelce.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cGetting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back \u2014 those were two things that just never could\u2019ve happened, they could\u2019ve just never happened,\u201d she said, referring to buying back the rights<\/a> to the master recordings of her first six albums in May. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n She added, \u201cBoth those things could\u2019ve just never arrived in my life, and I\u2019m so grateful for both of those things happening. And my fans are why I was able to get my music back.
