\u201cDaily Show<\/a>\u201d correspondent Michael Kosta<\/a> mocked Secretary of State Marco Rubio<\/a> on Thursday over his war on \u201cwoke fonts.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWait, what \u2014 what the fuck is a woke font? Was it a font offended by the Sydney Sweeney jeans ad?\u201d Kosta quipped.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Earlier this week, Rubio ordered diplomats to switch from <\/a>Calibri to Times New Roman <\/a><\/span>for official documents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Rubio blasted a 2023 decision to use Calibri \u2014 implemented by then-Secretary of State Antony Blinken to make communications more accessible for those with visual impairments \u2014 as a \u201cwasteful\u201d diversity move.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cApparently, for MAGA, the definition of woke has been so stretched that at this point it means \u2018helping other people at all even if it doesn\u2019t hurt anyone else,\u2019\u201d Kosta said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThat means if Calibri was woke, then ramps are woke. Braille is woke. Those chairs that lower old people into the hotel pool are woke. How else are they going to secretly finger blast each other under the water, huh? That\u2019s not the world I want to grow old in!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He proceeded to slam Rubio\u2019s \u201cpathetic attempt to start a culture war\u201d before turning to how right-wing outlets are covering it anyway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cBoom! The superior font is back,\u201d declared Fox Business anchor Dagen McDowell.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kosta questioned if conservative media is \u201csuffering from an outrage shortage\u201d under Trump before tossing to a clip of Newsmax\u2019s Chris Salcedo struggling to pronounce Calibri.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cCali-bro Akbar?\u201d said Kosta, mocking the conservative host for trying to make the font name sound \u201cethnic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cCala-cala-Mamdani? Whatever happened to good ole American font names like Kyle or Chad?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
