Bianca Censori has donned a crimson latex bodysuit and posed with human furniture in an outlandish performance art show in South Korea on December 11.<\/p>\n

A 14-minute video on Censori\u2019s website debuts her \u201cself-portrait\u201d project, BIO POP (THE ORIGIN), which begins with the Melbourne-born architectural designer slowly and performatively baking a cake in a futuristic-style kitchen, set to the sound of eerie orchestral music.<\/p>\n

The cake represents \u201cnot nourishment but offering\u201d, according tothe vague description on Censori\u2019s website, and \u201cembodies the tension of the kitchen as origin, labor, and ritual\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cA gesture of domestic service framed as spectacle,\u201d the website reads.<\/p>\n

Censori, who is married to controversial US rapper Kanye West, then brought the cake into a new set styled to look like a living room to the tune of soulful jazz music.<\/p>\n

All of the furniture in the living room, which was designed to look like \u201cpadded medical crutches\u201d, was entwined with dystopian mannequins including a table, chairs, and even a light furniture.<\/p>\n

The mannequins appeared to mirror Censori\u2019s distinctive look for the evening, from the skin-tight latex down to her pin-straight, glossy black hair draped over their shoulders.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach [furniture] piece is not passive support but an apparatus that moulds the body, turning comfort into confinement and domesticity into architecture,\u201d Censori\u2019s website reads.<\/p>\n

West was sat in the front row of the exhibition, and was pictured with Censori in a later Instagram post with a bunch of crimson flowers.<\/p>\n

It appears BIO POP is the first in a seven-year performance plan for Censori, who has listed a series on her website scheduling new shows including the uniquely-named \u201cBIANCA IS MY DOLL BABY\u201d, \u201cGENESIS\u201d, and \u201cBUBBLE\u201d.<\/p>\n

The performance comes as Censori launched a futuristic bracelet collection, modelled on medical equipment including a speculum, costing $2500, and a scalpel, valued at $2100.<\/p>\n

It appears a second performance of BIO POP is scheduled for the evening of December 12.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
