Fans spotted director Paul Thomas Anderson filming Cameron Winter<\/a>\u2018s solo show in New York City last night (Thursday December 11).<\/p>\n The Geese<\/a> frontman took to the stage at Carnegie Hall\u2019s Isaac Stern Auditorium as part of his current run of stripped-back piano gigs.<\/p>\n In footage captured from the audience, Anderson can be seen shooting Winter with Panavision 35mm gear during a rendition of \u2018Nina + Field Of Cops\u2019 from his 2024 debut album, \u2018Heavy Metal\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n The caption notes that Anderson was being assisted by US filmmaker and actor Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems<\/em>, Good Time<\/em>, Heaven Knows What<\/em>). Safdie also starred in Anderson\u2019s 2021 film Licorice Pizza<\/em><\/a>, which saw Alana Haim<\/a> make her acting debut.<\/p>\n According to The Phrasemaker<\/em><\/a>, Anderson had set up an additional shot from the balcony that reportedly ran for the entire concert.<\/p>\n Official details about what the live footage will be used for have not yet been disclosed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Anderson\u2019s latest film, One Battle After Another<\/em><\/a>, was released this autumn. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti and Alana Haim.<\/p>\n The movie is the sixth Paul Thomas Anderson feature-length to include an original score from Radiohead<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Jonny Greenwood<\/a>, after\u00a0There Will Be Blood<\/em>,\u00a0The Master<\/em>,\u00a0Inherent Vice<\/em>,\u00a0Phantom Thread<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Licorice Pizza<\/em>.<\/p>\n Anderson has helmed music videos for the likes of Radiohead, The Smile<\/a> and Haim. He also shot the official cover artwork for the latter band\u2019s latest two albums, 2020\u2019s \u2018Women In Music Pt. III\u2019<\/a>. and 2025\u2019s \u2018I Quit\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n In other news, Anderson\u2019s classic 1997 film Boogie Nights <\/em><\/a>is being released on 4K UHD for the first time<\/a>.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Winter has two more solo shows scheduled for this weekend. He\u2019ll perform at Los Angeles\u2019 Palace Theatre tomorrow (Saturday December 13) and Sunday (14). A pair of dates at Chicago\u2019s Rockefeller Chapel will follow next week.<\/p>\n The musician has been confirmed for Primavera Sound Barcelona 2026<\/a>, where he\u2019ll also perform live with Geese.<\/p>\n NME<\/em> gave Winter\u2019s recent concert at London\u2019s Roundhouse a glowing five-star review<\/a>, writing: \u201cCameron Winter has the power, talent and magnetism of a future great \u2013 a star to go the distance with just that voice, a piano and a whole world quite literally at his fingertips.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer-songwriter is currently enjoying huge critical acclaim with Geese\u2019s latest album, \u2018Getting Killed\u2019<\/a>. It earned a five-star review from NME<\/em>, before landing at Number One on our 50 best albums of 2025 list<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Getting Killed\u2019 should be enough to wake people up from their exhausted nostalgia and realise that New York \u2013 and guitar music at large \u2013 is alive and kicking down their front door,\u201d the entry read. \u201cAt least, it\u2019s easily the album of the year.
