Hunter<\/a> and directed by Joe Mantello<\/a>, was Rudin<\/a>\u2019s return back to Broadway after stepping away from the industry in 2021 amid bullying allegations.<\/p>\n The play was well-reviewed, with THR\u2019s David Rooney<\/a> calling it \u201ca singularly beautiful piece\u201d with Metcalf in \u201cblazing form\u201d and Stock<\/a> as a \u201crevelation.\u201dBut the show\u2019s attendance and grosses have not been able to keep up. The play hit its highest gross of $528,181 the week after opening but has seen its grosses falling since then. Last week, the play only filled 68 percent of seats, with a gross of $422,091.
