Prince Harry’s renewed push for UK security has sparked controversy with royal experts questioning the Duke of Sussex’s motives.<\/p>\n
While the son of King Charles lost legal appeal earlier this year to reinstate police protection in the UK, the Home Office has now ordered a new review of his security arrangements.<\/p>\n
Kinsey Schofield has suggested that the renewed focus on security is an attempt to revive the Sussex brand and reestablish Harry’s royal image, according to Mirror.<\/p>\n
She said, “His goal is to project that brand and monetise it through books, television, or paid appearances. For years, he has leaned heavily into a victimhood narrative that audiences have largely rejected, and he seems eager to turn that around.”<\/p>\n
Kinsey went on to add, “He is desperate to be seen as the happy go lucky prince people once adored, but I think too much damage has been done for that image to fully return.”<\/p>\n
“With the Sussexes, actions speak louder than words, and Harry\u2019s recent behavior does not support the idea that he genuinely wants to return to the fold,” she added.<\/p>\n
Referring to Harry’s appearance at the Stephen Colbert’s Late Show<\/i> recently, where he also mocked Donald Trump, Kinsey said, “His appearance on Colbert was a misjudged attempt at a viral moment that risked complicating the Royal Family\u2019s relationship with President Trump. Don\u2019t forget, Colbert previously perpetuated Wales cheating conspiracies at a time when Catherine was quietly facing her cancer diagnosis.”<\/p>\n
She noted, “None of this sounds like a man who is eager to reconcile or work collaboratively with his family. It feels irresponsible.”<\/p>\n
As per Kinsey, Prince Harry wants more visibility in the UK because “it allows him to look like a royal on the global stage.”<\/p>\n
“I also think there is real resentment over not being treated the same as his brother. But Prince William has devoted his life to the crown,” she added, saying that the Duke of Sussex walked away from the responsibility when he left the royal family alongside his wife Meghan Markle.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
