Garcia is guaranteed $57.5 million, but with the club option and escalators, he could make around $85 million over the life of the deal, <a target=\"_blank\" class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_aoxits\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/anne__rogers\/status\/1999553372471300276?s=20\" target=\"_blank\">according to a report <\/a>from Royals writer Anne Rogers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_89rueadnt\">Garcia won the American League Gold Glove at third base this season in addition to making his first All-Star appearance. Garcia hit .286 with 16 home runs, 74 RBIs and 23 stolen bases while playing strong defense at third base.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_bo4uya8p1\">Garcia is now locked in on the left side of the infield with star shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_jhz09pxdl\">Kansas City finished the season 82-80, good for third in the AL Central, while missing out on the playoffs.
