King Charles reportedly offered this to his brother in order for him to move out early, but renovation costs ended up eating up the cost. The Daily Mail\u2019s Palace Confidential (via Express<\/a>) presenter Jo Elvin said that accepting it will be \u201chumiliating\u201d for Andrew because it means he will be relying on an \u201callowance\u201d\u00a0from his brother.<\/p>\n More from SheKnows<\/strong><\/p>\n The Daily Mail\u2019s Royal Editor Rebecca English says that the firm is looking for ways \u201cknock off a few pounds here or there\u201d because \u201cno one wants to see public money being paid to Andrew\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cThe truth is we don\u2019t entirely know yet because he\u2019s still living there and they\u2019re trying to assess it while he\u2019s there,\u201d the royal expert shared. \u201cThey almost probably need him to move out before the surveyors can go around and have a proper look. However, new reports from the Crown Estate reveal that he might not be eligible for the money.
