WILLIAMSBURG \u2014 Wolph, a local teenage-founded band, will get a chance to grace the stage at the Kimball Theater to ring in 2026.<\/p>\n
The group, made up of Dylan Stickle, Josh Wright, Cole Morgan, Greg Gernon and Jacob Spence, will take the stage at 7:45 p.m. to kick off 2026 celebrations for a show dubbed \u201cWinterland at the Kimball.\u201d The band will start the evening off with an acoustic set before transitioning to two electric sets that will lead into the new year.<\/p>\n
The band will also debut some of its original music that was recorded with Dave Schools, bass player for Widespread Panic.<\/p>\n
The New Year\u2019s Eve show is a nod to the band\u2019s inspiration, The Grateful Dead.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s always been a special thing for The Grateful Dead to do New Year\u2019s Eve shows and they\u2019d be in these giant venues with longer and special sets. We\u2019ve always talked about it as a band and have wanted to do something in our hometown. We usually don\u2019t play much here in Williamsburg, but it will be really cool to do a giant thing on a special day,\u201d Stickle said.<\/p>\n
Band members will be at Second Sundays on Dec. 14 to sell tickets to the show. Tickets are $30 and provide entry to the show on New Year\u2019s and entry into a raffle for autographed Wolph merch, including T-shirts and posters.<\/p>\n
Doors open at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, and the show runs until 1 a.m. Jan. 1.<\/p>\n
The show at the Kimball Theater will be the first time that Wolph plays the venue.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s such a cool and historic spot. It\u2019s a really special thing to be able to play in front of our home crowd,\u201d Stickle said.<\/p>\n
