\nher home at Gatcombe Park to celebrate her wedding anniversary with
\nSir Tim.<\/p>\n
The couple married on December 12 1992 at Crathie Kirk near
\nBalmoral. The Princess Royal and the Vice Admiral decided to have
\ntheir wedding there as the Church of Scotland permitted the
\nmarriage of people who had previously been divorced. Anne\u2019s
\nmarriage to Captain Mark Phillips had legally ended earlier the
\nsame year.<\/p>\n
The royal wedding of Princess Anne and Sir Tim Laurence was a
\nlow key affair, attended only by close family and friends.<\/p>\n
The bride wore a cream two piece skirt suit and chose flowers as
\nher headwear rather than a tiara. She arrived at the church with
\nher father, Prince Philip, and her daughter, Zara, who was then
\naged 11.<\/p>\n
Although it was a small wedding, there was huge interest in the
\nceremony. Princess Anne was the first of the children of Queen
\nElizabeth II and Prince Philip to divorce and remarry. However, her
\nwedding came just days after the then Prime Minister, Sir John
\nMajor, had stunned the House of Commons by announcing the
\nseparation of Charles and Diana.<\/p>\n
Media from around the world descended on Crathie to follow the
\nRoyal Family in its first big major appearance since the
\nannouncement of the separation.<\/p>\n
Just a few official photos of the event were released including
\none of a beaming Queen Elizabeth II standing proudly at the side of
\nher only daughter.<\/p>\n
The marriage has become one of the strongest and longest lasting
\nin the modern Royal Family. Sir Tim Laurence accompanies his wife
\non a wide range of engagements, recently taking part in a tour of
\nAustralia and Singapore with her, but he isn\u2019t counted as a working
\nmember of the Royal Family.<\/p>\n
Princess Anne\u2019s busy diary shows no signs of slowing down for
\nChristmas just yet. In the week ahead, the Princess has events
\nlined up in London, Oxford and Edinburgh.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s also expected that the Princess Royal will join her
\nbrother, King Charles, at Sandringham for Christmas with her own
\nfamily including her son, Peter Phillips, and his new fianc\u00e9e,
\nHarriet Sperling, also thought to be on the guest list.<\/p>\n
