Wham! have resumed their festive dominance with <\/span>Last Christmas<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the final week before the official Christmas No.1, the 41-year old single has <\/span>returned to the summit<\/span><\/a> in the UK on consumption of 42,470 units (Official Charts Company). In reality, it is much higher as chart rules impose ACR on catalogue tracks which require double the amount of streams to register a single unit,<\/span><\/p>\n

Last Christmas (Epic\/RCA) was streamed around 12 million times in the UK alone in the past week. It has now passed five million units for the post-1994 period (5,093,989).<\/span><\/p>\n

Although it had to wait until 2020 to reach the summit for Wham!, Last Christmas has now racked up 11 non-consecutive weeks at No.1. It is well placed to be the official Christmas No.1 for 2025 \u2013\u00a0revealed on December 19.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, the festival perennial this week reached a new peak of No.2 on the US Hot 100. It has now reached nine times RIAA platinum status.<\/span><\/p>\n
