It&#8217;s safe to say Winter is a full-fledged star now, and I imagine that Nate Amos \u2014 the Water From Your Eyes member who also makes playful indie pop as This Is Lorelei \u2014 will also earn that title soon enough. Last night during his first of two solo sets at LA&#8217;s Palace Theatre, Winter proved himself to be This Is Lorelei-pilled by covering &#8220;Where\u2019s Your Love Now&#8221; from Amos&#8217; excellent 2024 album <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stereogum.com\/2267026\/this-is-lorelei-box-for-buddy-box-for-star\/reviews\/album-of-the-week\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Box For Buddy, Box For Star<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll always appreciate the whimsy of Amos&#8217; original &#8220;Where&#8217;s Your Love Now,&#8221; but it&#8217;s also pretty stunning to hear it in Winter&#8217;s voice with a grand piano. At the same show, Winter also debuted a brand-new song that&#8217;s apparently called &#8220;Sandbag.&#8221; Thanks to Stereogum reader Genesis for the video of that one.
