A family member of Rob Reiner\u2019s was questioned after he and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead at their Los Angeles home<\/a>, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n AP did not specify which member of the Reiner family was questioned. People<\/a> reported that multiple sources who have spoken to the family claimed that the late couple\u2019s 32-year-old son Nick is responsible for their death. Los Angeles Police have not confirmed the report, and no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical aid request on the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 14. They found Reiner, 78, and Singer Reiner, 68, dead when they arrived. A law enforcement official told AP that investigators believe the couple suffered stab wounds. Their deaths are being investigated as apparent homicides. <\/p>\n Reiner rose to fame as Mike \u201cMeathead\u201d Stivic on the CBS sitcom \u201cAll in the Family,\u201d which aired from 1971 to 1979. He later acted in films including \u201cSleepless in Seattle\u201d and \u201cThe Wolf of Wall Street.\u201d Reiner also directed beloved films including \u201cStand By Me,\u201d \u201cWhen Harry Met Sally,\u201d \u201cThe Princess Bride,\u201d \u201cMisery\u201d and \u201cA Few Good Men.\u201d <\/p>\n Singer Reiner was a photographer and producer who collaborated with her husband on films including \u201cMisery\u201d and \u201cSpinal Tap II: The End Continues.\u201d <\/p>\n Reiner and Singer Reiner, who tied the knot in 1989, shared three children: Nick, son Jake and daughter Romy. Reiner also adopted daughter Tracy, his first wife Penny Marshall\u2019s daughter from a previous relationship. <\/p>\n Nick has been candid about his years-long struggle with drug addiction. He did his first stint in rehab when he was 15 and was homeless for an extended period of time. <\/p>\n \u201cIf I wanted to do it my way and not go to the programs they were suggesting, then I had to be homeless,\u201d Nick told People <\/a>in 2016. \u201cI was homeless in Maine. I was homeless in New Jersey. I was homeless in Texas. \u2026 I spent weeks on the street. It was not fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Nick cowrote the 2015 film \u201cBeing Charlie,\u201d which is based on his experience with heroin addiction and homelessness. His father directed the film. While promoting \u201cBeing Charlie\u201d during a 2015 interview with The Los Angeles Times<\/a>, Reiner recalled feeling helpless in the face of his son\u2019s addiction battle.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen Nick would tell us that [rehab] wasn\u2019t working for him, we wouldn\u2019t listen.
